I needed a gun safe that I could move and install by myself. This cabinet fits my needs perfectly. It weighs only 72 pounds. I ordered the safe on Wednesday and the shipper had it at my door on Friday! Although the cardboard box had no protective packing material around the unit, it arrived undamaged. The unit is well built with a very nice exterior finish. Installation was easy following the clear instructions that came with the safe. Installation time was less than and hour. I flush mounted the safe in a corner of a closet and used 2 lag screws on the back, 2 on a side panel and 2 lag screws into the floor. It would be very difficult to get the safe moved from its location. The door closes tightly. The shelf works well for supplies and ammunition. The scope stand offs are a nice touch for the gun rack. Lastly, the safe is made in the USA! This product produced a most satisfied customer.

| Very solid well built cabinet. Nicely improved keyed lock (over older models). Arrived with minor spot-scratches caused by the frieght carrier. Emailed Stack-on and they quickly sent 2 bottles of touch-up paint. Much appreciated. All mounting bolts included. I followed up by buying the top mount pistol cabinet, which will bolt onto this cabinet. I already own their 16 gun cabinet. Can't say enough on the satisfaction I have had with Stack-on products! |
Completely Satisfied

| First off, this is NOT a gunsafe. If you want a safe, buy something else -- for several hundred dollars more! If you simply want a secure cabinet to store your guns or other valuables, this is the product you want. I have read some comments about poor packing, but judging from the way mine arrived, I would say the company has fixed this. There were large styrafoam pieces protecting all top and bottom corners as well as large cardboard reinforcement pieces along all four sides. Mine arrived in perfect condition. The cainet is made of steel that is slightly heavier than the metal in those regular metal wall lockers and it has a nice heavy double locking bar for the door. It weighs about 70 pounds empty. The cabinet is well built with a very nice exterior finish. Installation was easy following the instructions that came with the safe. Installation time was less than 30 minutes. There are mounting holes in the back and sides plus four large lag bolts are supplied if you want to bolt it to the wall. The shelf works well for supplies and ammunition and has a gap between the back and the shelf so if you have a longer rifle -- like my 1898 Krag -- it can still fit. The scope stand offs are a nice touch for the gun rack should you need them. Lastly, the safe is made in the USA! I am a very satisfied customer. |

The Sentinel or Stack-On firearms safes are a good way to keep the kids and burglars away from your "Stuff". Here is the key, instead of one big overkill safe(unless James Bond is coming over) start collecting several of these Stack-ons and run them together and don't forget to buy the smaller section for ammo. I have 5 of these sets bolted together (top and bottom sections) which makes a whole wall in my den without loosing all the space of a real safe/safe. These safes are not fire prof but have gotten me though 2 robberies in the past 30 years. With that said you can tell I like the product, but the manufacture needs to work on protecting the product during shipping. If you get this product on-line inspect it before you except, because you may find some minor or major dents. Oh yea don't forget before putting your Big Green Wall together find all the studs you are going to secure your unit to.
Have fun, and remember security can look good. |
